First the specs of Nokia 5310 with a little commentry by me :-

GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900 - US version

My views :- It's a Triband phone. There are 4 bands in GSM - 850,900,1800 & 1900. Asia & Europe use 900 & 1800 while Americas use 850 & 1900. This phone comes in two versions. If u take the Asian/European Version to Americas it will only function on 1 band ie. 1900 and if u take Americas version to Asia/Europe it will also function on 1 band ie. 1800. So signal strength will be average at best.

My Views :- It's a small phone and is quite slim less than 1 cm thick :banana:

My Views :- It allows for custom themes to be installed. Resolution is QVGA ie. 240 x 320, which is a standard display resolution on mobile phones now.

My Views :- It allows for custom ringtones and also allows MP3, MP4, WMA, AAC to be used as ringtones. It also allows vibration (gr8 for chicks, when they are alone )

My Views :- It has a maximum of 2000 enteries in Phone book. It allows Call records.

My Views :- In short it has GPRS, EDGE. It doesn't have Wi-fi. It has Bluetooth A2DP. A2DP allows Stereo Music to be streamed to your compatible A2DP Bluetooth headset.

My Views :- It has SMS, MMS, Email. Allows Instant Messaging. Allows to view sites with help of Opera Mini on GPRS or EDGE.

Camera 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels, video(QCIF)

My views :- Has a 2MP camera, no flash. Allows Video in max resolution of 176 x 144. It's not great for photography wiith no flash present. It's not even an Auto Focus Camera. Video Recording is poor also.

Explain:- Radio Data System, or RDS, allows for sending small amounts of digital information using conventional FM radio broadcasts. The RDS system standardises several types of information transmitted, including time, track/artist info and station identification.

My Views :- Can replace your iPod nano with a 3.5 mm jack to allow plugging your own headphones and gr8 Audio Quality along with upto 8 GB of storage through Micro SD cards. Music player allows MP3, MP4, AAC (apple format), WMA playback. Also has a Nokia light sensor to change the backlighting of LCD depanding upon surroundings, eg. - screen will go dim in darkness & full brightness in daylight. Has Stopwatch and allows Voice Commands also. Has a Nokia Sensor to view different Bluetooth devices nearby.
